Culture Day and Food Festival

Culture Day and Food Festival

Angel Oak Academy was bursting with colour, pride and community today for our annual Culture Day and first ever Food Festival!

Academicians arrived in clothing which celebrates their heritage and pupils learnt about each others' backgrounds, reminding us that we are all part of a rich, diverse school where all families are seen, valued and connected.

After school, we hosted our first-ever food festival where families brought homemade dishes from their cultures including treats such as jollof rice, dumplings, pastries, cakes and much much more.  The event was a vibrant showcase of global flavours and a resounding success, strengthening bonds across our community.

Thank you to everyone who contributed, visited, tasted and celebrated together on such a joyful day in the sunshine!
