Safeguarding

Angel Oak Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Ms McCarthy is our Designated Safeguarding Lead and can be reached via the academy office.

All staff undertake regular safeguarding training and have read the updated version of 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'.  We hold regular whole-staff briefings to maintain our good practice and regularly monitor reporting systems to ensure their effectiveness.  We have a dedicated Safeguarding Team who are able to support, advise on and promote safeguarding throughout the academy.
